I am so excited to finally share more of Miki's bridal portrait session. To start, we knew we wanted a golden look in a natural setting. And when I saw this overgrown archway surrounded by a field filled with cheerful, yellow wildflowers I knew it would be the perfect setting.
THE DETAILS : Miki's dress is a vintage 1970s beauty with lovely lace details. It's extra special because it was originally worn by her mother on her wedding day. A few alterations were made to update the dress while still preserving the original details. I just love these sheer polka dotted lace sleeves!
A pearl button from her grandmother and pearl accessories complete the look.
Miki even brought a framed portrait of her Mom in her wedding dress. So sweet!
To compliment Miki's vintage style & for a pop of color I brought my own Victorian sofa (It was my Grandmother's and it's one of my favorite things.) The blue contrasts against the yellow wildflowers & the style compliments her vintage dress oh so nicely. The end result was definitely worth lugging this heavy heirloom out into a field!
This cozy, hand knitted wrap was made by Miki's father. I love that Miki's bridal look represents her style & also the love of her family.
